You'll explore cyber defence, network security, operating systems, cloud security, ethical hacking, web application security, governance and security operations through real-world projects and realistic cyber security scenarios. You'll also gain experience using enterprise technologies and professional tools commonly used by cyber security teams, preparing you for careers in today's cyber security and IT industries.<p><strong>How you'll study</strong><br>Our HyFlex mixed delivery model combines on-campus and online learning to provide flexible study options. Domestic students may attend classes either on campus or remotely via live Webex sessions, according to the class timetable. International students are required to attend classes on campus in accordance with Australian student visa requirements. Mandatory attendance is recorded and monitored.<br>Teachers facilitate structured weekly live Webex sessions, providing real-time guidance, feedback, technical support and assessment assistance. Learn attacker Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) aligned to the MITRE ATT&CK framework through realistic cyber security simulations. <br>• Cyber Range – Practise and develop your technical skills in a safe, virtualised lab environment using hands-on exercises and real-world scenarios. <br>• NETLAB+ – Access remote networking, server, cloud, operating system and cyber security laboratories through a web browser. <br>• CompTIA Academy Learning Resources – Build networking, systems administration and cyber security skills aligned to industry certifications including Security+, Network+, Linux+ and CySA+. <br>• Cisco Packet Tracer – Design, configure and test network topologies in a simulated environment before deployment.
You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
